Back to Back Savanah Quarterback Club Scholarships for New Hampstead High Student Athletes

Two years in a row – two Savannah Quarterback Club Scholarship winners for New Hampstead High School!  Earlier this year, Senior New Hampstead High student-athlete Jaxson Brown  was named the 2024 Walter Corish, Sr. Scholarship Award Winner by the Savannah Quarterback Club.  His recognition follows that of 2023 New Hampstead student-athlete winner Jayce Huetra.

Each year, the Savannah Quarterback Club awards a four-year scholarship of $2500 per year to a football player from a public or private high school within Savannah-Chatham County. Applications are sent out to area coaches and athletic directors in late November or early December each year. The nominee must be a football player from a public or private high school within Savannah Chatham County viewed as a good student and teammate. Athletic achievement does not factor into eligibility, only participation as member of a high school team.

The scholarship is awarded at the club's annual bowl party each January.  The recipient must remain in good academic standing in college in order for the tuition payments to continue. Congratulations to Jaxson!
