TO ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS OF NEW HAMPSTEAD HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:

This announcement post is to notify you of openings in NHHS School Council. Voting will take place Wednesday, September 17th at 8:00 AM and will commence at 3:00 PM in the front entrance of the school building. This election will be held to select five (5) parents to serve on the New Hampstead School Council for school terms 2025-2027. Our bylaws require staggered terms for our parent council members.

The school council shall provide advice, recommendations, and assistance to the school while representing the community of parents, students and businesses. The school council will consist of fourteen members: six parents or guardians of students enrolled in the school; two community members; two certified full-time teachers; SGA Student President, SGA Student Vice President, the media specialist and the principal.

To be eligible for nominations, the parent/guardian’s child must be enrolled as a student at New Hampstead High School. We will accept nominations starting August 14 until September 15 by 9:00 AM. Nomination forms will be submitted online from the New Hampstead High School website.

Candidate bios will be posted on the school website. Voting will take place in front of the school on September 17th from 8:00 AM and will end at 3:00 PM. To be eligible to vote, a parent must be physically present with a valid ID. The parent will vote for one (1) individual to serve as parent representatives for our school council. Only one parent per household shall vote. In the event there is only 5 nominations​, elections will not occur. When parent buzz the intercom of the school, he/she will be provided a ballot to vote and place in the designated box after confirming identification and student enrollment.

Thursday, September 18– Announcement of 2025-2027 School Council Parent Member by 9 AM
Tuesday, September 30th—Introduction of New Parent Representatives at School Council 4:30 PM
